NiCAT organized the first workshop in 2021 on "How to maximize the potential of technology parks to improve the tech ecosystem."  The workshop was intended for companies, startups, spin-offs, innovators, teams with an idea. We have heard the experiences and potentials of building technology parks for the development of innovative ecosystems by Science and Technology Parks from Nis, Belgrade and Ljubljana. 

The lecturers were:

- Dr. Milan Randjelovic, Director of the Science and Technology Park in Nis and an expert on local and regional economic development,

- Gordana Danilović Grković, director of the Science and Technology Park in Belgrade, with many years of experience in supporting the development of small and medium enterprises and managing technological development projects and

- Iztok Lesjak, 22 years old, was the general director of the Technology Park Ljubljana, and since 2018 he has been working as an expert on European projects.

The workshop was organized within the project "Digitalization and Startup Ecosystem Development", which is being realized in cooperation with the German development cooperation implemented by GIZ.
